Construction continues on the Community/Learning Center in San Jorge.
Yesterday many women and men gave up their Sunday off to help pour the roof of the second floor. The women of the village fetched and carried water to be able use for the construction.
As you can see it was labor intensive and a labor of love!

We have seen many “bucket brigades” since moving to Antigua but none as moving as the pictures of this one. The women with their small, colorful water jugs speak to just how far these Mayan women will go to help themselves and their communities.
